Handpicked by none other then Kate Moss, to to be the face of the fashion legend's collection, must be a pretty good selling point on anyone's resume. For Irina Lazareanu, it's just another string to her bow, a bow of an inordinate amount of achievements in the fashion world. In fact, the 25 year old Canadian supermodel is quickly becoming the new Kate Moss in terms of versatility, uniqueness, personal style and stature (they are both shorter then their piers), as well as their striking rock chick looks and their associations with the volatile, London rock 'n' roll scene.

With her thick sixties fringe, huge, brown doe - eyes and tiny oval face, Lazareanu is certainly striking, even amid the beautiful young things of the fashion industry. Of Romanian ethnicity and of a ballerina past, Irina is a fabulous combination of exotic features and delicate, doll- like poise, creating an almost ethereal beauty. Her own personal style is something of note too, as like Moss, it is filled with vintage, although Irina prefers a quirky, creative edge to her style. Arguably her own unique style has contributed to the rapid rise of her modelling career.

As well as being the face of Chanel, Mulberry and Hugo Boss and featuring on almost every catwalk show this season, Irina has recorded a folk album with Sean Lennon, which is due for release shortly. Indeed, Irina has been linked to the music industry with some time now, what with being friends with the notorious Pete Doherty, which subsequently led to her friendship with Kate, and as well as that, writing a song for Doherty's Babyshambles.
